VCF North America Selection

The Villarreal Academy North America selection process takes place over the course of a 3-day ID Camp in which coaches from Villarreal CF in Spain choose the best players from Villarreal’s partner academies that extend all across North America. Every December, top players from the Yellows’ partner academies in the United States, Canada and Mexico are invited to Las Vegas, NV, to participate in the 3-day intensive training camp. The top prospects from the ID Camp are chosen to represent the official Villarreal Academy North America Select Teams at national and international competitions throughout the following season.

Villarreal NA Select teams have had the incredible opportunity to compete in some of the most prestigious tournaments worldwide, showcasing their skills against some of the best young talent. Our teams have competed in various locations, including Catalunya,Spain, Dallas, USA, Benicassim, Spain, and even Villarreal, Spain, where they have had the unique chance to experience the culture and tradition of professional football firsthand. Our teams have consistently faced off against top professional clubs like Atlético Madrid CF, FC Barcelona, and Benfica and more.


These experiences have not only provided our players with professional worldwide experiences but have also given them the opportunity to learn from our top Villarreal CF coaches and to compete and bond with players from all of our Villarreal NA Academies

Attending Prospects

  • When will the next event take place?

    27th, 28th and 29th December 2024

  • Is the event open to non-Villarreal players?

    No, this is invite based only. 

  • Are families allowed to watch the training sessions?

    Yes, parents are welcome to attend and watch their child's sessions. However, once you drop off your child for their session, it's important to avoid contact with them until the session is over. This allows the coaches to focus on providing the best possible experience for all participants.

  • How do players register for the invite

    Please use the link in your invite email to register for our event.

  • When will we know which players have been selected?

    After the ID Camp, Villarreal’s technical coordinator David and coach Carlos will take some time to evaluate each player and with the support of the academy coaches, will select the teams. An announcement will be made a few weeks after the event. It goes without saying, but all academies must respect the decisions made by the Villarreal coordinators and coaches regarding the selected players.
